The Reb Blake Project showcases Marin County bandleader, accompanist, manager,
music business consultant, certificated wildland firefighter, decorated for heroism in
combat as a firefighter during the second Viet Nam war, project manager on nuclear
aircraft carriers, father, husband and Master’s of Science degree holder Reb Blake
on his first solo project since 1972. This project titled REB BLAKE WITH, showcases
world famous, deeply artistic musicians playing the notes they choose jamming on
twelve great songs. These are the songs Reb has always wanted to record. The
genre is blues based rock and roll performed as only the best of the best of San
Francisco’s Sound can make it sound.

Featuring the likes of Grammy award winner, multi platinum record seller
Bill Champlin
(coauthor of After the Love is Gone for Earth Wind and Fire with David Foster) of
Chicago on piano and B-3,
Huey Lewis on harp, and Gary Duncan, legendary other
guitarist of Quicksilver Messenger Service on acoustic and electric guitars and
Norman Mayall of
Sopwith Camel, Blue Cheer and Norman Greenbaum of Spirit in the
Sky fame,
Kent Earl Houseman, Blue Cheer and Copperhead songwriter, Richie Ray
Harris, George Harrison in Beatlemania, Pete Kelly of Axl Rhodes band on some
drums and Bill Lombardo of Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians on the rest and
Drew Youngs on guitar. Reb plays bass, guitar and sings lead on all but two of the
tunes.
Drew Youngs sings the others as well as back ups.  This album may be one of
the best blues/rock compilations to come out of Northern California this century.

The project is produced by
Drew Youngs, one of the finest educated musical ears
alive today. Drew also tech wizards, engineers, produces, plays nylon latin jazz guitar,
keyboards, sings and is one all around accomplished master musician.

The songs were recorded in Protools HD and LE over the last three years. Sessions
were done in Sausalito’s Record Plant, Nashville, Montana, San Francisco, Mill Valley,
Atascadero, Los Angles and Palm Springs.
